Confessions of a guilty ex-flosser.

I'm not sure how it happened.  In the beginning, I had an extreme cleaning routine.  I used my ACT mouthwash twice a day, just like I was supposed to.  I brushed after every time something entered my mouth.  I spent 20 minutes every night flossing, patiently dealing with annoying floss threaders.  I used my Waterpik and flossed.  Then, work got busy.  I had some late nights.  The Waterpik seemed to be enough.  Then I forgot to charge it, so I used those little rubber toothpick thingies instead, and that worked just fine, and took about 20 seconds.  I was happy, but I knew better.

Argh.  So I'm trying to get back into flossing regularly.  My gums are a bit tender right now.  Even aside from the pure grossness factor of not flossing, I'm sorry I gave it up these past few weeks.

Reminder to self: FLOSS.  It's worth the investment.

  1. I know what you mean, Ellie! I get so tired at night that the last thing I want to do before bed is floss. So now I make sure to take care of all that a couple hours before bed, while I am still somewhat motivated. I cannot imagine being a kid with braces because they are soooo high maintenance!

  2. Story of my life! If it makes you feel any better I'm in the same boat with this one. You'll get back into the habit if you try :)
